Air Force Ball
Here we are with Corianne and Dustin at the Air Force Ball. Ella was almost in tears with excitement that we got to go to a "ball". I'm sure she was thinking of Cinderella going to the ball and wishing she could go, too. A lot of the AF Ball is ceremonial and eating, so the dancing part didn't start until 10:00 p.m. when our eyelids were droopy and we were ready to go home. I did convince Brett to stay for one dance!
And We're Back!
We're back in school! Ella and Andrew were ready for the school year to begin. They were excited to see their teachers and friends again. In the Italian schools the teachers and classes stay the same up through 5th grade. When Ella moved from "prima" to "seconda" this year, she kept the same teacher and classmates. I LOVE that about the schools here. Andrew has the same teacher and friends, too. He is in the "grandi" class this year of his asilo (preschool), which means he'll be headed to first grade next year! Unbelievable!

Adding to Our FamilyLine
Our "family line" will look more like this in February. We're expecting #4! Ella told me that she didn't think we needed another baby yet because Henry is still the baby. She's forgetting that she was a baby when Andrew was born.

Family Photo Shoot
I love having a recent family photo. The getting it is the hard part. It only took a couple minutes before I heard, "Are we done yet?" and that was from Brett - just kidding! Our friend Tiffany Roundy snapped the shots and she went as fast as she could. The setting is just down the street from our house in Pescincanna, Italy at the center of town, on the steps of the church.

Yo Ho, Yo Ho!
A Pirate's Life for Me!
Brett described our Halloween costumes as, "Quick, get a costume in 5 minutes!". It's true, we were a little thrown together. Thank goodness the kids looked cute! Like the eye patches? It was Ella's and Andrew's preference to have them drawn on. Brett was creative and just covered one lens of his awesome chem-gear glasses. And, I'm so glad for warm baby costumes. Henry makes the perfect parrot though he wouldn't perch on Brett's shoulder!
